Project Scope


The first and key factory of Parag Milk Foods at Manchar, Maharashtra is know for great brands, has seen a fast growth in terms of Production Volumes, rising 1,000,000 L / day Milk Processing in a short time, especially on account of Cheese Production. The factory produces a diverse portfolio of products, whose construction has been incremental, lacking a long term plan or horizon, which is typical of any new rising company.

The new brand in market Avatar, a Whey Powder mix specifically for sports nutrition, was to be developed and installed in a food safe and hygienic environment, meeting the global standards on Dry Blending/ Mixing and Packing. For this scope, it was envisaged to engage PMG Team to develop the Avatar building and equipment layout, process equipment selections, industrial utilities planning (AHU, Lighting, etc.) and associated other areas with detail engineering and construction management. Implementation of the concepts of food safety and hygienic engineering, along with Lean Production and Zero Rework, were key expectations from the Client Management.

PMG Deliverables


  • Develop the Process P&ID, Plant Layout, Building and Equipment Design, and related work for Avatar Product.
  • The complete design should meet the local and global standards on food safety and hygienic engineering.
  • Man-material storage and movement planning, along with incorporating necessary QA / QC procedures into the Production System design.
  • Design the Industrial Services for the complete area (Air Conditioning, Lighting, Power and Control Cabling, Water and Compressed Air Distribution, etc.)
